What to Do in Case of Accidents and Damages

Accidents and damages can always happen, no matter how careful you are. In the unfortunate event that you damage the boat during your trip, it is important to report it to the boat owner or their base manager as soon as possible.

The boat owner or base manager will be able to recommend the next steps for you to take. For example, if you damage the sail and need to have it repaired in order to continue your trip, your base manager can recommend the nearest marina where you can have it fixed. It is important to keep the invoice for any repairs made.

If you do not report the damage at the time of check-out, or if the base manager or diver finds previously unreported damages, a damage report will be created for you. This report is important for insurance purposes.

If you have taken out deposit insurance, your insurer will require a signed damage report and an invoice for any expenses you had for repairs. It is important to keep all documentation related to the damage for insurance purposes.
