Latest Departure Time from the Base
If you arrive late in the evening, it's essential to note that departing from the base on the same day may not be possible. Here's why:
Daylight Check-In Requirement:
Safety and Procedure: It's crucial for the check-in process to take place during daylight hours. This ensures that the boat handover and inspection can be conducted thoroughly and safely.
Overnight Stay:
Option to Stay On Board: If you arrive late, you have the option to stay on board overnight at the marina. The cost for the first and last night are often included in the price.
Departure Protocol: However, you can only depart from the marina after completing the check-in procedure with the charter company.
Need for Planning:
Arrival Timing Consideration: When planning your trip, consider your arrival time to ensure a smooth check-in process and avoid any inconvenience due to late arrival.
Leaving right after check-in:
If you succesfully completed the check-in nothing stops you from setting sails right away. Simply plan ahead and look up an achorage in advance that can be reached within a few hours from the home marina.
We advise against leaving in the dark, so plan ahead accordingly.
